Ecology has officially taken over my life. If you need me, I’ll be knee deep in sustainability and invasive species terminology.

I’m doing research on the Monsanto Protection Act to gain a better understanding of what this is all about. What I have gathered so far is that when it comes to food justice and agrobusiness, the government could not even give two fucks. This just makes me want to be involved with food policy even more when I am done with college. The best way to make a serious change is through our policy. Companies like Monsanto and Dow seriously need to be stopped. I don’t know about all of you, but I don’t want my food to be created in a lab. I don’t want my food to make me sick. I don’t want to be afraid of my food. I want my food to come from the ground. I want my food to work to keep me healthy. I want to be happy about my food purchases. Food is something we put in our bodies on a daily basis. We need to make sure it is safe to do so.

A lot happened last night/this morning. Probably the best part was Darien sleepwalking and ending up in Shelby’s bed. There’s going to be a lot of apologies and explaining later.
